Karen joined Clark-Lindsey in 2014 to ensure current and prospective clients are aware of the comprehensive services available to individuals who have reached retirement age and/or are in need of long-term health care. She plans, directs and coordinates a comprehensive marketing program for the organization through both oversight of internal and external marketing activities. Karen builds relationships in the community and with individuals currently on Clark-Lindsey Village’s waiting list.
“My greatest enjoyment comes from interacting with our residents and team members. There is a sense of family here that I have not experienced in any other workplace,” says Karen. “It’s my pleasure to share news and information about our events and services as well as the accomplishments and special experiences our residents have had in their lifetimes.”
Karen is originally from La Grange, IL but lived in ND, TX and NY while she worked as an anchor and reporter for NBC TV affiliates. She graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN with a double major in Telecommunication Arts and French and a minor in journalism. She has served on many local boards and committees since moving here in 2002. Currently, she is a board member of Executive Club of Champaign County. Karen was the recipient of the following awards: United Way of Champaign County 2008 Executive Campaign Coordinator of the Year; 2008 40 Under 40; Champaign County Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council 2005 Volunteer of the Year.
Karen and her husband, Jim, live in Champaign with their three young sons.
