Ongoing Improvements

Our nonprofit status allows us to accept tax-deductible contributions. Those contributions support improvements in programs and facilities providing direct benefit to ClarkLindsey residents and to the Champaign area. And while we are exempt from income and capital gains taxes, we do pay real estate taxes that, in turn, invest in our schools, our parks and our community.

Gifts from donors support our amenities and services. They also contribute to expansion, allowing us to grow to meet the needs of our current and future residents. One such project is our new independent living expansion, which will include 48 new apartments with nine different floor plans, as well as a state-of-the-art social center.

Community Involvement

Not only does being tax-exempt allow more money to be given back to our organization, but it allows us to do more for our community. ClarkLindsey has been serving the local community for decades, and this passion is shared by our employees and residents. Employees and residents participate in and lead ClarkLindsey programs that allow us to give back to our surrounding communities. Examples of these programs are Ethel and Maud’s Table, the Celebrate Aging Program, and our Intern Program.
